Yoav HaCohen

VP Research, LTX

I run the research team at LTX, where we build cutting-edge generative models for video, audio, and general visual intelligence. Our work spans the full stack—architecture design, training infrastructure, and open-source releases like LTX-Video and LTX-2. I founded LTX as a team inside Lightricks that grew into an independent company focused on foundational AI for generative media and physical AI.

My vision for pushing the boundaries of the frontier comes out of my experience in research and startups: a PhD and two companies I founded at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and generative AI.

Featured Projects

LTX-2 Audio-Visual Foundation Model

LTX-2 Jan 2026

The first open-source production-ready model that jointly generates synchronized video and audio. 14B video + 5B audio parameters, dual-stream transformer with bidirectional cross-attention. Native 4K at 50fps, up to 20s clips.

LTX-Video Realtime Video Latent Diffusion

LTX-Video Nov 2024

Transformer-based latent diffusion model that generates 5 seconds of 24fps video at 768×512 in just 2 seconds on an H100. Holistic co-design of Video-VAE and denoising transformer. Scaled to 13B parameters.
